Cookie Policy
The crewduo web app, mobile app, booking pages and client portals use only cookies and similar storage that are needed for the Service to work, to keep you signed in and secure, and to remember your preferences. Our marketing website (crewduo.com) also uses Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies to measure visits and which of our ads bring people to us, only if you accept them. We do not use cookies to show you targeted ads or to build advertising profiles.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. "Similar storage" includes your browser's local storage and, in the mobile app, secure storage on your device. This policy covers crewduo.com, the crewduo web app, and the booking pages and client portals we host for Businesses.
2. What we use
| Name or type | Where | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session and authentication cookies | crewduo web app | Keep you signed in and connect each page request to your session | Until you sign out or the session expires |
| Anti-forgery cookie | Web app, booking pages, client portal | Stops other sites from submitting forms as you | Session |
| Google sign-in cookie | Web app | Completes "Continue with Google" safely | Minutes, deleted after sign-in |
| Client portal session | A Business's client portal | Keeps a Client signed in after they enter a one-time code | Until the portal session expires |
dl_ref | Referral links on a Business's booking page | Remembers which referral link you followed so the referrer gets credit | 30 days |
| Local storage preferences | Web app; marketing website | Remembers display choices, such as theme, calendar colours, collapsed panels, dismissed tips and announcements | Until you clear your browser data |
cd-consent (local storage) | Marketing website | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics and advertising cookies | Until you clear your browser data |
cd-src (session storage) | Marketing website | Remembers, during this visit only, the campaign or website that brought you and the first page you saw, so it can be saved with your account if you sign up. If you arrived from a Google ad, it also holds that ad's click identifier, which is passed on only if you accepted cookies. | Until you close the tab |
Cloudflare security cookies (for example __cf_bm) | All crewduo sites | Tells people apart from malicious bots and protects against attacks | Up to 30 minutes to 1 year, set by Cloudflare |
| Stripe cookies | Payment pages | Fraud prevention when you pay by card | Set by Stripe; see Stripe's cookie policy |
Our pages also load web fonts from Google Fonts and maps from OpenStreetMap and Esri. Those services receive your IP address to deliver them, but we do not use them to set tracking cookies.
Optional cookies on our marketing website (only if you accept)
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics (Google LLC) | Counts visits and tells returning visitors apart, so we can see which pages are read and which buttons are used. Google Analytics does not store your IP address. | Up to 2 years |
_gcl_au, _gcl_aw | Google Ads (Google LLC) | Remembers that you arrived from one of our Google ads, so we can tell whether the ad led to a sign-up or a booked walkthrough | 90 days |
These cookies are off until you choose Accept in the cookie banner. If you choose Decline, or make no choice, none of them is set: Google receives only basic signals without cookies or identifiers (for example, that a page was viewed), which it may use to estimate totals. We do not allow Google to use your visit for ad personalization or remarketing, and if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the Google Ads cookies stay off even if you accept. These cookies are not used in the crewduo web app, mobile app, booking pages or client portals.
3. The mobile app
The crewduo mobile app does not use cookies. It keeps your sign-in tokens in your device's secure storage, and your schedule and unsent changes in on-device storage so you can work offline. Signing out removes them.
4. Controlling cookies
On our marketing website, the cookie banner asks before any optional cookie is set. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings, also at the bottom of every page. Declining has no effect on how the site works.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google's opt-out browser add-on. If you block essential cookies, you will not be able to sign in or use some features.
