Trucking and hauling software for the ticket, the load and the invoice
Gravel and fill by the tonne, a tandem by the hour, topsoil and mulch slung into a backyard by the yard, an excavator on the lowbed. crewduo puts each load or shift on a driver's phone, works out the ticket as they type, shows the office where the crew is, and turns the signed ticket into an invoice the same day.

Built around how trucking and hauling companies work
Tickets that settle the count
A haul ticket on the driver's phone: gross and tare per load, net and total tonnes, billable hours and the amount at your rate, worked out as they type - with scale ticket photos and the customer's signature before the truck leaves.
The field appLoads and shifts on one schedule
Each load, delivery or shift is a job or visit assigned to a driver, on their phone with the site address and notes. Regular customers run as recurring contracts.
Schedule and dispatchWhere the crew is, from their phones
Check-in, check-out and photos stamp the time and place at every site. On the Fleet plan the dispatch map shows where each driver is right now, only in the hours you choose, and each driver's day replays as a route with stops and kilometres.
Schedule and dispatchInvoiced the day the ticket is signed
Bill per tonne, per hour, per load or per yard from your catalogue, attach the signed ticket, and send it with a pay link for card or Interac e-Transfer.
Invoicing and paymentsServices trucking and hauling companies set up in crewduo
Each service carries its price, how long it takes and the materials it uses, so quotes, bookings and invoices fill themselves in. Your prices and your names - these are examples.
Ready for the season
Aggregate, fill and excavation haul-off run from spring thaw to freeze-up; topsoil, mulch and drain rock slinging peak in spring and early summer; snow haul fills the winter for trucks that stay out. Spring road bans limit axle weights in many regions, so the weight check is worth keeping close in April.
A haul day in crewduo
- Dispatched. The load or the shift is a job on the calendar, assigned to a driver; it is on their phone with the site, the material and the notes.
- On site. The driver checks in - the time and location are stamped - and fills in the trip inspection before the first load.
- The ticket. Loads, gross and tare go into the haul ticket as they happen; net tonnes, billable hours and the amount work themselves out, no signal needed. Scale tickets are photographed, not stuffed in the visor.
- Signed. The customer or foreman signs on the phone at the end of the day, while everyone still agrees on the count.
- Invoiced. The office sees the signed ticket the same afternoon and sends the invoice with a pay link.
Crew location: what it is and what it is not
What crewduo does, from the drivers' phones:
- Every plan: check-in and check-out record the time and the location at each site; photos taken in the app carry the time and place they were taken (a scale ticket, a placed load, a damaged gate); and "on my way" texts or emails the customer an ETA.
- Crew plan: the dispatch map shows each driver's day with numbered stops, drive times and who is closest to a job.
- Fleet plan: live crew tracking shows where each driver is on the dispatch map - off until you turn it on, then only while clocked in, during scheduled hours or while signed in, as you choose. The Journeys view rebuilds a driver's day: the route, each stop and how long, the drives between and the kilometres driven. Drivers see exactly the same in My day on the phone, with suggested mileage to claim, and every time the office looks at someone's day it is logged. You decide how long the history is kept.
What it does not do: no engine or telematics hardware, no ELD or hours of service (keep your ELD), no load boards or brokerage, no fuel cards and no IFTA filing - the fuel and distance log keeps the records, not the return.
Slinger, lowbed and dump work on the same account
Each kind of work gets its own ticket. Dump and aggregate: the haul ticket and, when weight matters, the weight and axle check against your licensed GVW. Slinger delivery: yards from the area and depth, the placement and the customer's sign-off on the driveway. Lowbed moves: width against 2.6 m and height against 4.15 m, chains against the heavy-equipment minimum, permits and before-and-after photos. All of them are in the forms marketplace from the Van plan, and you can change any field.
Quoting a delivery? On the paid plans, measure on map in the web app outlines a driveway or a garden bed on a satellite view for its area in square metres and square feet. See the plans.

Trucking and hauling questions
Does crewduo track where my trucks are?
It shows where your crew is, from their phones - not from hardware in the truck. On every plan, check-in and check-out at a site record the time and the location, and photos taken in the app carry the time and place they were taken. On the Fleet plan, live crew tracking (off until you turn it on) puts each driver on the dispatch map - only while clocked in, during scheduled hours or while signed in, as you choose - and the Journeys view shows a driver's day: the route, the stops and how long, and the kilometres driven. Drivers see the same in My day on the phone, and you decide how long the history is kept. There is no engine or telematics device, so it does not replace your truck GPS or your ELD.
Does crewduo do ELD or hours of service?
No. Keep your ELD for hours of service. crewduo runs the jobs, the tickets, the forms and the invoices around it, and never pretends a form is an electronic logging device.
Can drivers fill in a haul ticket on the phone?
Yes, from the Van plan. The ready-made Haul / Load Ticket records the material, pit and dump site, loads, gross and tare, start, end and breaks, and works out net per load, total tonnes, billable hours and the amount at your rate per tonne, per hour or per load - offline too. Scale ticket photos and the customer's signature are saved with it, and material, sites and rates are remembered for the next ticket at that site.
Can we bill by the tonne, the hour, the load or the yard?
Yes. Your catalogue holds the services with their own units and prices - a tandem by the hour, gravel by the tonne, fill by the load, topsoil by the yard - and invoices are built from the job. From the Van plan, every invoice has a pay link for card payments, and Interac e-Transfers are matched to the invoice for you.
Is there a form for slinger deliveries?
Yes, from the Van plan. The Slinger Delivery / Placement Ticket works out the cubic yards needed from the area in square metres and the depth in centimetres (plus an allowance for settling), compares yards ordered and delivered, and adds your price per yard and the slinging charge. It also covers overhead lines, trees, soft ground and slope before the truck sets up, before and after photos, and the customer's sign-off on the placement and the driveway.
Does crewduo have a daily trip inspection?
Yes, from the Van plan. The Truck & Trailer Trip Inspection follows the NSC Standard 13 Schedule 1 systems for the truck and the trailer, with a none, minor or major defect pick, a defect photo and the driver's signature. It is a record, not legal advice: your carrier profile and the regulations decide what applies.
Does it do IFTA?
No, it does not file IFTA. The Fuel & Distance Log keeps the records a return is built from: litres, price and receipt per fill, L/100 km, and each trip's kilometres by province or state.
Can we keep track of trucks as well as drivers?
Yes, on the Crew plan. Trucks, trailers and equipment are company resources: who has each one, whether it is ready, and which one a job needs, which dispatch weighs when it suggests who should take the work. The dispatch map shows each driver's day with numbered stops and drive times. Trucks do not have a booking calendar of their own.
Does the app work out of signal at a pit or a rural site?
Yes. The day's visits, check-in and check-out, photos and form answers keep working without signal - net tonnes and hours still work themselves out - and sync when the phone reconnects. A few things need a connection, such as sending the client an "on my way" text.
Can drivers tell a homeowner they are on the way?
Yes, on every plan. One tap on the phone texts and/or emails the client that the driver is about 15, 30 or 45 minutes away - handy before a slinger backs into a driveway.
